Heft 04

Heft 04 is the rooms issue. We set essays in Fraunces at a size you can read in a chair, and plans in a mono that does not shout. The grid is 12, but most spreads use four, with a wide margin for the thumb.

Cover is uncoated cream with a terracotta foil line — a horizon, not a photograph. Inside, we let the paper show through; no flood of ink on the architecture of the page itself.

The issue sold through two printings. Several studios now commission Heft for their own project books.
